Coca-Cola Partner Embraces DLT and Ethereum for Supply Chain

Samuel Haig, reporter from Cointelegraph writes, “The partner of Coca-Cola’s largest U.S.-based bottling company is expanding its use of blockchain to enhance efficiency across the beverage company’s supply chain. Coke One North America, or CONA, a partner of the largest United States-based Coca-Cola bottling company, will use The Baseline Protocol to enhance transparency and reduce friction in ‘cross-organization supply chain transactions.’ The project will see CONA partner with distributed ledger technology firms as well as Baseline Protocol founding members Unibright and Provide to establish a “Coca-Cola Bottling Harbor,” allowing streamlined transactions among both internal bottler-suppliers and external suppliers of raw materials.

As part of our mission to promote the adoption of blockchain technology at Envision Blockchain, we are proud to see the effort in the Baseline Protocol’s open-source community paying off. From position on the Specifications Steering Committee, we see it very important that companies of all sizes begin to ideate around the concepts that is offered by utilizing the Baseline Protocol’s methodology.
