Establishing Trust and Legitimacy in Carbon Neutrality Targets and Claims

Around the world and across industries businesses are making bold claims and setting aggressive goals to become carbon neutral or net zero. However, standards and methodologies for measuring GHG emissions and offsets; achieving and verifying carbon neutrality are still in a state of flux and debate. This also leads to transparency questions around the scientific veracity of the claims and how the average person can understand the carbon supply chain. During this presentation, we will cover some of the existing flaws in the current systems of measuring and verifying carbon neutrality, and what business leaders can do to back up their climate commitments with trust, accurate data, and robust science-based strategies in partnership with public ledgers like Hedera.
